Awards & Recognition

One of the objectives of NISSTA is to promote Excellence in Sugarcane Research and Development and Efficiency in operation of sugar and allied industry through award and fellowship.

The issue of recognizing and rewarding the contribution made by members was discussed in 3rd AGM and was resolved to give following awards;

1- NISSTA Life time achievement award- one award every year 2- Best research paper award- three non cash awards for efficient operation  of sugar and allied industry and three for sugarcane research and development for paper published in annual proceeding.

3- Fellow of NISSTA – Two awards in a year for extra ordinary contribution for sugarcane research and development and efficient operation and development of sugar industry.

4- NISSTA young scientist / technocrat award- Three awards once in a year.

Further a committee was constituted to prepare detailed guidelines and Performa for the awards, committee will draft the guidelines in consultation with Governing Board of NISSTA.
